Hi neighbors — here are some of the community happenings today and in the upcoming weeks around Paonia. Whether you’re in the mood for live music, art, nature, or simply getting together with friends, there’s plenty to do.
Today
Pickin’ in the Park Concert — Tonight at 6? Paonia Town Park comes alive with live local music, food vendors, kids’ activities, and good outdoor vibes. It’s free and community-oriented, so bring a blanket and your favorite folks.
Coming Up
- Arbol Farmers Market — Every Tuesday from 5-7:30 PM in Town Park. Fresh produce, artisan goods, and live music make for a summer market favorite.
- Learn to Mix It Up: Indigo Dye Workshop — On September 9 at the Paonia Library. A hands-on session, great for adults or teens curious about traditional crafts and color.
- Mountain Harvest Festival — Set for September 25-27 downtown. Three days of music, art, local foods, and classes focused on harvests and sustainable living. This is one of the biggest local festivals of the year.
- Library Events — Starting in September there’s a full slate: Paonia PM Book Club, Storytime for little ones, a Songwriters Club, and more. Check the Delta County Library calendar as dates draw near.
Stick Around for…
Later in fall, keep an eye out for Cider Fest at Big B’s Delicious Orchards, the Stoney Mesa “Fall Into Winter” concert series, and seasonal arts fairs—always good ways to support local creators.
Let me know if you want a follow-up with kid-friendly events, hikes, or food-centric happenings. Paonia’s calendar is always growing.
